I’m an aerospace engineer who loves making art.

I used to help design 3D printed rockets at Relativity Space where I managed Avionics Integrated Design. This role expanded on my mechanical engineering background to include hardware and structural engineering, systems integration, wire harnessing, and instrumentation engineering to design an integrated vehicle of avionics products.

I spent nearly 10 years at SpaceX where I previously managed crew interface avionics hardware development on the Dragon 2 spacecraft. I was responsible for the design, analysis, and test of the control panel and touchscreen displays, which are the primary astronaut user interfaces for the vehicle. I supported the Dragon 1 trunk upgrade and drove the Dragon 2 cabin avionics from concept to flight hardware. I also helped quantify, develop, and deliver training as a technical training engineer.

I joined SpaceX after graduating with my master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as a member of both the Mechanics of Solid Materials and Structural Biological and Biomimetic Materials Laboratories. I researched bio-inspired composites and helped develop flexible protective coatings inspired by nature for defense applications. I earned my B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and previously worked as a product design co-op at Apple.

I love watching rocket launches, floral arrangements, cross-stitching, cats on the internet (especially @baronvonsqueaks), and being married to a Disney Imagineer.
